About

Like all the families of the AURIX™ TC3xx generation, the AURIX™ TC39xTM series aims for a reduced complexity, best-in-class power consumption, and significant cost savings. These second-generation microcontrollers with embedded flash 40 nm technology come back with increased performance, memory sizes, connectivity, and more scalability to address the new automotive trends and challenges. In terms of performance, AURIX™ TC39xTM offers six cores running at 300 MHz (with four additional checker cores delivering 2700 DMIPS), up to 6.9 MB embedded RAM, and power consumption below 2 W. Its mirrored embedded flash banks feature A/B swap capabilities. AURIX™ TC39xTM MCUs provide state-of-the-art connectivity and features with 1 Gbit Ethernet, 2x FlexRay, 12x LINs, 6x PSI, 2x HSSL, 1x eMMC/SDIO, 4x QSPI, 2x I²C, 4x MSC, and 12x CAN including data-rate-enhanced CAN FD. They are additionally characterized by a rich peripheral set with 25x SENT, a powerful Generic Timer Module (GTM), CCU6, and GPT12. The TC39xTM microcontroller family comes in two packages: BGA-292 package and BGA-516 package.

High feature body domain control: As ever more functions are integrated into a smaller board space, a high feature BCM must step up and meet new demands. The respective semiconductor solutions require a high level of integration.

Gateway: In gateway applications, two things count most: high performance and a reasonable price. Infineon's solutions offer top-of-the-line performance and carry a competitive price tag and a cutting-edge functional safety and data security features.

Sensor fusion: As part of cutting-edge autonomous driving systems that can make critical and autonomous decisions, sensor fusion applications must be designed to meet the highest safety and security standards and provide exceptional performance. That's where AURIX™ comes into play.

Chassis domain control: Featuring a mix of software for specific functions and hardware to ensure functions are free from interference, chassis domain control systems have precise application requirements. Especially desirable: top-performing microcontrollers with an architecture to support the integration of several critical software functions, such as OEM Black Box Code.

Infineon offers optimized, open-market customer support for systems using AURIX™ MCUs through its network of technical experts. The participating partners are trained in the use of AURIX™ microcontrollers and provide product and application-specific support. The Preferred Design Houses (PDH) extend the support force by specifying and customizing expertise and thus increase the value of customer service.

The first level of support is provided by local field application engineers, and the second level, which addresses more complex topics, is provided by dedicated automotive security experts. Dedicated on-site consulting can also be organized to help customers reduce development time and costs.
