The PSOC™ Automotive Multitouch Gen7 microcontroller family supports advanced features and higher integration. The Gen7XL Multitouch Arm® Cortex®-M0 CPU series (CYAT817X) offers the most advanced features for larger touchscreens starting with 15 inches. It is a scalable solution that supports up to 35 inches and offers class-leading hover and force touch features, as well as haptics, acoustic feedback, and encryption support. The Gen7L family (CYAT817L) is developed to integrate touch capabilities with MCU. This 32-bit microcontroller series is designed to support screen sizes up to 12.3 inches. The technology is capable of performing temperature voltage sensing, day/night sensing, and managing LED backlight, removing the need for additional MCUs. It supports thick gloves (5 mm) and includes noise-suppression technologies, wet-finger tracking, as well as serial interfaces I2C and SPI.

Both devices offer the best electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) performance, as well as support for free or curved displays.

The PSOC™ Automotive Multitouch Gen7 is an innovative technology designed to provide exceptional touch screen functionality. It features a hover-sensing capability that can detect touch input from up to 50 mm away, enabling users to interact with the screen without having to physically touch it.

Moreover, it includes force touch, which provides users with a tactile response, enhancing the overall user experience. The technology also features a low-power wakeup button (<50 µA) that allows the system to be activated quickly and efficiently, reducing power consumption.

The haptic and acoustic feedback control feature provides users with an additional layer of feedback, enabling them to interact with the screen more effectively. Additionally, the family includes AutoArmor™, which improves the system's electromagnetic emissions and immunity, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

The PSOC™ multitouch Gen7 technology allows for external-display synchronization, enabling a seamless connection to display and projectors. The technology also features water rejection and wet-finger tracking using DualSense™ and supports both thin and thick glove.
